Special Award Requirements

The Emergency Preparedness Award

The Emergency Preparedness Award is part of a new BSA program of emphasis for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Adult Leaders, in cooperation with the Federal Department of Homeland Security.

Requirements vary based upon the Scout's current rank.

Click on the link below to open an Emergency Preparedness Action Pack.  This includes an outline of the requirements, a copy of the BSA Emergency Preparedness Plan, and an application form to be completed by a parent or leader and given to the pack Advancements Chair for her approval and signature.  The forms will then be forwarded to the Council office for processing of the award certificate and medal.

This is an award that may be worn centered on the left pocket flap of the Cub Scout Uniform.
